If Windows cannot find a driver for the DDR pad, edit the XBCD.inf file in C:\Windows\Inf and and the following line to the list of devices. If you do not see an XBCD Xbox Controller under Human Interface Devices in the Device Manager, use USBView to see if the device is being recognized correctly by the USB Hub controller.

Unplug the DDR pad and plug it back in so that Windows can install the drivers automatically. Run XBCDv103.exe and install the drivers. OK, I inserted "%XBCD_DDR.DeviceDesc%=Install, USB\VID_0C12&PID_8809 RedOctane Ignition Pad" into the INF after finally finding it, so it sees it as a DDR pad, but it still gives the same error. :/ It gives me the error that you list in the troubleshooting thing, but I do not have the INF file since the installation is done by EXE files now. The problem now is that it refuses to install. *sigh* OK, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the normal drivers. Oh, and since I'll be using the thing anyway, I can try to help with debugging. What's the secret to installing that thing? :/ I figured this problem could be solved by installing the dance pad drivers, but when I try to point the installation to go to them instead of the normal XBCD drivers, it gives me "The specified location does not contain information about your hardware." XBCD sees it, but when I go into StepMania it will not recognize the button presses.
